111th Gold Medal Exhibition & Annual Book at Scarab Club
I’m so pleased to be included in this year’s 111th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition at the Scarab Club, juried by Katie Pfohl, curator of contemporary art at the DIA and a lovely human.
It’s a mouthful of a show title, and this unthemed show includes quite an interesting range of work. One of the particularly special rewards of participation is getting to be part of a printed publication — and I’m lucky enough that my name happens to fall alphabetically next to the incredible Mary-Ann Monforton. (My piece gets to face the photo of her stunning Appetizers work entered into the show.)
At the opening, I got to meet Janice Martin, whose work I’ve admired via Instagram for a long time. Three of her small cardboard house sculptures were included in the show.
Kayce Gifford (of GalleryBuzz), kindly insisted on snapping my picture with one of the pieces I have in the show, Chain Sinnet #2868.
